Assembly of the MedRi Student Union 
 

The Student Union of the Faculty of Medicine University of Rijeka (hereinafter referred to as SZ MedRi) is a student electoral representative body protecting students’ interests, participating in making decision by bodies of the University of Rijeka and representing students in system of higher education.

The Student Union is an apolitical, non-party, nongovernmental and non-profit organisation respecting principle of equality of all citizens and rights and freedoms of everyone independent of race, tan, sex, language, religion, political or other convictions, national or social origin, property, birth, education, social position or other properties.

The main tasks of the SZ MedRi are providing care for quality of student life, especially for quality of study process, student standard, exercising of student rights and other issues important for students of the Faculty of Medicine.  Its task is also to stimulate extracurricular activities of students of the Faculty of Medicine. The Chairman of the SZ MedRi is Mr. Josip Ančić, student of the 5th year Study of Medicine and Chairman Deputy is Mr. Franjo Carović, student of the 5th year Study of Medicine.

Students have their representatives in the Faculty Senate of the Faculty of Medicine University of Rijeka. They are also appointed by the SZ MedRi Assembly. For the list of student representatives as well as the list of student representative in the Faculty Senate, refer to the following link.

 

The SZ MedRi appoints also the student ombudsman. The student ombudsman for the current academic year is Mr. Duje Štambuk, student of the 5th year Study of Medicine.
